FDA warns in opposition to Zicam

Zicam, one of the more accepted cold remedies, has been advised in opposition to through the FDA. It was announced in the past by the Food and Drug Administration once it has come to the attention of the FDA that the over-the-counter remedy is directly correlated to the loss of sense of smell.

The loss could be extended lasting or even Everlasting.

The things that have the FDA issuing the notice are:
Zicam Cold Remedy Nasal Gel
Zicam Cold Remedy Nasal Swabs
In addition to the discontinued Zicam Cold Remedy Swabs, Children Size

The FDA says that it has received about 130 reports from customers saying they have experienced the loss of the sense of smell associated with using Zicam, many reporting the loss of smell subsequent to just the primary dosage.

Missing your sense of smell is a pretty terrible thing to have occur to you. If you drop your sense of smell, how can you smell things like natural gas if your residence were to have a gas leak?
